The
Lost Toy
The Village Hall
Sunday 21st June 2009
This was a play put on by
Proteus theatre company and aimed at small children. The play was very
sweet and well acted and featured a lost toy, called Lionel, who had become
separated from his owner, Lucy. The story is about Lionel’s adventures
trying to get found.
The children really enjoyed the story, especially the
singing and joining in dancing like penguins! It was a good way to
celebrate Father’s Day, with a few Dads being brought along for their
Father’s Day outing.
This is the first time we have hosted a Proteus play in
the summer time and we didn’t have as big an audience as we do for our
annual January pantomime. We think some of the children in the area had
already seen the play at school. For this reason, we are not planning a
summer play next year.
