Brookvale in Bloom 2010 – our friendly local competition
This is the homepage of Brookvale in
Bloom where you can find resources and information about the competition.
Brookvale in Bloom is our local,
friendly competition, an opportunity to show the pride in our area. There
are various classes.
Themes and Classes
The themes are
water conservation and wildlife friendly. The classes are:

Small front garden (up to
6ft x 12ft)
·
Standard front garden
·
Hanging basket or window
box
·
Child’s tallest growing
sunflower
·
Flower arrangement ‘Playtime’
(for all ages)
Each category will have a 1st, 2nd
and 3rd and will be awarded tokens worth £15, £10 and £5
respectively.
Plus new this year is the
3-house-challenge cip. Get together with neighbours and have a joint theme,
perhaps colours, kitchen garden (using salads, herbs and bean?), or tubs
and baskets.
Judging will take place 9th –
13th July.

Send your name, address and class by
email to info@brookvale.org.uk,
by post to c/o The Orchard RG21 4AF, text 07807 552669 or talk to any
committee member. Closing date is 30th June.
Prize Giving
Prizes will be given by the Mayor at an
event on Saturday 24th July at 2pm. Octopus Sure Start Centre
will be providing activities for children.
