This is the homepage of Brookvale in Bloom where you can find resources and information about the competition.

Brookvale in Bloom is our local, friendly competition, an opportunity to show the pride in our area. There are various classes.

Competition Launch

The competition was launched at a ‘how to’ event in the village hall on Saturday 7th March. The launch was well attended and included launch by the Deputy Mayor, demonstrations of filling baskets and tubs, free seeds for children, a gardeners question time and Plant Sales. The event report is on our events page.

This useful list of good plants for hanging baskets and planters (PDF 134 KB) was produced.

You might take inspiration from Battens Avenue in Overton, our picture shows what can be achieved with even very tiny front gardens. The whole street was entered into Basingstoke in Bloom in 2007 and 2008.
